Jesus Sungahid Umaslay, Jr.

Jesus Sungahid Umaslay, Jr., a beloved husband, father, and friend, went home to the Lord on July 21, 2025, in San Diego, California, at the age of 60. Born on April 24, 1965, in the Philippines, Jesus dedicated his life to the hospitality industry, spreading joy and smiles to all he encountered.

He is remembered for his unwavering faith and his strong commitment to his family. Jesus is survived by his loving wife, Merlina, and his cherished children, Crizza and Christian. The bond they shared was profound, grounded in love and support, as they stood by him through life's challenges. His family remains united during this difficult time, holding tightly to the treasured memories they created together.

A Mass in honor of Jesus will be held on July 25, 2025, at 10:00 AM at St. Rita Catholic Church, located at 5124 Churchward St, San Diego, CA 92114. Following the Mass, a viewing will take place from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM at First Family Community Church, situated at 835 E 16th St, National City, CA 91950.

Jesus touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. His legacy of love, dedication, and service will continue to inspire those who knew him.
